These Terms and Conditions apply to registrations and purchases made through CPR Syndicate, including registrations completed through this website, our scheduling platforms, payment links, or any other authorized registration method. By completing a purchase or registration, you acknowledge that these Terms have been made available to you and that they apply to your registration.

1. Registration and Payment

Payment is required to reserve a scheduled training session. A registration reserves a specific date and time, and it commits CPR Syndicate to set aside instructor time, facility space, training equipment, course materials, administrative resources, processing fees, and certification related expenses in preparation for that session.

Students are responsible for reviewing their course selection, date, time, location, course format, pricing, and any applicable requirements before completing registration. Pricing is disclosed during checkout.

2. Course Formats and Blended Learning

CPR Syndicate offers CPR, BLS, First Aid, AED, and related training courses. Many of these courses use a hybrid or blended learning format that combines required online coursework with a scheduled hands-on skills session. Depending on the course you select, you may be required to complete the online portion before attending your skills session.

American Heart Association courses

Many American Heart Association courses offered through CPR Syndicate use a blended learning format. Unless specifically stated otherwise at the time of registration, required AHA online coursework is purchased separately and is not included in the CPR Syndicate skills session registration fee.

For applicable AHA blended learning courses, students are responsible for obtaining and successfully completing the required online coursework through the American Heart Association or its authorized platform before attending the hands-on skills session. Students may be asked to provide proof of completion before the session begins. Failing to purchase or complete the required online coursework before a scheduled appointment is not a cancellation by CPR Syndicate and does not automatically entitle the student to a refund.

American Red Cross courses

For applicable American Red Cross blended learning courses purchased directly through CPR Syndicate, the required online coursework and the hands-on skills session are generally included as part of the course registration unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Students remain responsible for completing assigned online coursework before attending the hands-on portion when required.

Student responsibilities

• Review the course description and format before purchasing.
• Determine whether separate online coursework is required.
• Purchase required online coursework separately when applicable.
• Complete all required online coursework before the scheduled skills session.
• Provide proof of completion when requested.
• Attend and successfully complete the required hands-on skills session and evaluation.
• Confirm that the course selected satisfies any employer, school, licensing, regulatory, or other third party requirement that applies to you.

Failure to complete required online coursework does not eliminate or modify the cancellation, rescheduling, late arrival, or no-show policies described below.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Because CPR Syndicate reserves instructor time, facility availability, equipment, and administrative resources for each registration, cancellations are subject to the following policy.

If a student cancels a scheduled training for any reason, the registration is subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50 percent of the amount paid to CPR Syndicate. Any eligible refund is therefore limited to 50 percent of the applicable registration amount. This offsets instructor commitments, administrative expenses, facility costs, payment processing fees, and scheduling expenses associated with reserving and preparing for the session.

If a student has already rescheduled an appointment and then cancels the rescheduled appointment, the same 50 percent cancellation policy applies.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible. Processing times vary depending on your financial institution or payment provider.

Separately purchased third party coursework, including coursework purchased directly from the American Heart Association or another organization, is governed by that organization's own cancellation and refund policies and is not refundable by CPR Syndicate.

4. Rescheduling

Students may request to reschedule their training. We ask that rescheduling requests be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment whenever reasonably possible.

Rescheduling is subject to instructor, facility, and appointment availability. CPR Syndicate cannot guarantee a particular replacement date, time, instructor, or location. A rescheduled appointment remains subject to all of these Terms. Repeated rescheduling, failure to provide reasonable notice, or circumstances that prevent us from reasonably accommodating additional changes may result in additional fees or require a new registration. If a student reschedules and later cancels, the registration remains subject to the 50 percent cancellation policy.

5. Late Arrivals and No-Shows

Students are responsible for arriving, checking in, or connecting at their scheduled appointment time and for following the instructions provided by CPR Syndicate.

A student who does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice is considered a no-show. Because instructor time, facility access, and equipment have already been reserved, no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Arriving late may prevent a student from completing all required training or skills evaluation. We may require a late student to reschedule when there is not enough time remaining to properly complete course requirements. CPR Syndicate may, at its discretion, allow a late or no-show student to reschedule. Any such accommodation is not guaranteed and may be subject to an additional fee.

6. Certification and Course Completion

Purchasing or attending a course does not by itself guarantee certification. Students must successfully complete all applicable requirements, which may include online coursework, hands-on practice, skills demonstrations, evaluations, assessments, attendance requirements, acknowledgments, waivers, or other requirements set by the applicable training or certifying organization.

Certification cards and course completion documentation are issued only after the applicable requirements have been successfully completed. CPR Syndicate does not guarantee that a particular certification or course will satisfy the requirements of every employer, licensing agency, educational institution, government agency, regulatory body, or other third party. Students are responsible for confirming that the course selected meets their specific requirements before purchasing.

7. Training Acknowledgments and Waivers

As part of the training and certification process, students may be required to complete and sign a separate training acknowledgment, waiver, attestation, skills verification, or similar document. By signing course completion documentation, the student confirms participation in and completion of the training components identified in that document.

Students agree to provide truthful and accurate information when completing course records, acknowledgments, waivers, evaluations, or certification documentation. CPR Syndicate reserves the right to withhold course completion documentation or certification when required training components, evaluations, or acknowledgments have not been completed.

8. Training Locations, Physical Activity, and Assumption of Risk

CPR Syndicate takes reasonable measures to maintain safe and appropriate training environments. However, CPR, BLS, First Aid, AED, and related hands-on training involve physical activity. Training may include kneeling, bending, standing, lifting, performing chest compressions, practicing rescue techniques, using training manikins and other equipment, and moving throughout the training area.

By participating, students acknowledge that these activities carry ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks of physical discomfort or injury, and voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks of participating and of entering or using a CPR Syndicate training location.

Students are responsible for exercising reasonable care on the premises, following safety instructions, using training equipment properly, and immediately notifying an instructor of any unsafe condition, physical limitation, or other concern that could affect their ability to participate safely.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CPR Syndicate and its owners, officers, employees, instructors, independent contractors, agents, affiliates, and representatives are not liable for personal injury, property damage, loss, or other damages arising from the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participation in training or use of the training premises. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, release, or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be waived, released, or limited.

9. Personal Property

Students are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings while attending training. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPR Syndicate is not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, misplaced, left behind, or damaged at a training location, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

10. Student Conduct

CPR Syndicate is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional training environment. Students may be removed from a session for threatening, abusive, disruptive, unsafe, fraudulent, or inappropriate behavior, intentional misuse of equipment, refusal to follow reasonable safety or training instructions, or conduct that materially interferes with the training environment.

Removal for misconduct may result in forfeiture of the registration fee and denial of certification where applicable course requirements have not been completed.

11. Scheduling and Operational Changes

CPR Syndicate makes reasonable efforts to conduct sessions as scheduled. Circumstances may occasionally require an instructor change, location change, delay, rescheduling, modification, or cancellation.

If CPR Syndicate cancels a scheduled session and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, the student will be offered an appropriate rescheduling option or a refund of the affected CPR Syndicate training fee. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPR Syndicate is not responsible for indirect or incidental expenses students incur as a result of a schedule or operational change, including transportation, parking, lodging, childcare, lost wages, or similar expenses.

12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Students are encouraged to contact CPR Syndicate directly about any billing, cancellation, attendance, scheduling, or service concern before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback whenever reasonably possible.

CPR Syndicate maintains records relating to registrations and training appointments. These may include transaction information, scheduling records, attendance records, course completion records, signed acknowledgments or waivers, website and registration disclosures, and communications sent or received by email, text message, telephone, or other methods. In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, CPR Syndicate reserves the right to provide relevant documentation and records to the applicable payment processor, bank, card issuer, or other party reviewing the dispute.

Nothing in this section is intended to prevent a student from exercising lawful rights available through their financial institution or under applicable consumer protection law.

13. Registration and Contact Information

Students are responsible for providing accurate and current registration information, including name, email address, telephone number, and any other information necessary for course administration or certification.

Students are responsible for reviewing confirmations and instructions sent to the contact information they provide. CPR Syndicate is not responsible for missed communications, certification delays, or other issues resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the student.

14. Communications

By registering for a course, students consent to receive transactional and service related communications reasonably necessary to administer their registration. These may include appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling information, location and access instructions, online course instructions, training requirements, and certification information.

Communications may be sent by email, telephone, or text message using the information provided during registration, subject to applicable law. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time by replying STOP to a text message or using the unsubscribe link in an email. Transactional messages about a booked appointment may continue as needed to deliver the service.

15. Website Use and Intellectual Property

This website and its original content, features, branding, and functionality are owned by CPR Syndicate and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. American Heart Association and American Red Cross names, marks, and materials are the property of those organizations and are used in accordance with their applicable program requirements.

Course materials, manikins, and equipment provided during training remain the property of CPR Syndicate or the applicable certifying organization. Recording, reproducing, or redistributing course materials or instruction without written permission is not permitted.

16. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Our services and this website are provided on an as is and as available basis. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free. Information provided through our training is for educational purposes and should be applied in accordance with the official guidelines of the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, or other applicable certifying organization.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CPR Syndicate's liability arising from or relating to a student's registration, participation, or training is limited to direct damages actually incurred and does not include indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages where such exclusions are legally permitted. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

17. Severability and Modifications

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or other authority of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

CPR Syndicate may modify or replace these Terms at any time. The Terms in effect at the time of your registration govern that registration. Continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Entire Agreement and Course Specific Requirements

These Terms apply to the student's registration with CPR Syndicate and may be supplemented by course specific instructions, disclosures, acknowledgments, or requirements provided during registration or training. If a particular course has additional requirements established by the applicable certifying organization, students are responsible for satisfying those requirements as a condition of successful course completion.

These Terms are made available through a link during the checkout or registration process. Students are encouraged to review them before completing a purchase.
